Where it started

Where it started

Sackrule Law is the criminal defense practice of attorney Wes Sackrule, based in Grapevine and serving the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The firm already had a website on Squarespace. It covered the basics, but it was not structured around what a potential client needs in a stressful moment: what kinds of cases the firm handles, which counties it serves, and how to reach someone right now.

Rather than restyle the old site, I built a new one from scratch. That let me set the page structure, the content, and the technical details the way I wanted them from the start.

The build

What I built

  • A new site built from scratch, not a restyle of the Squarespace site.
  • A page for the cases the firm handles, written in plain language.
  • A counties served page so people in the area know the firm can take their case.
  • A who we are page that introduces Wes and how he works.
  • Click to call on every page and a consultation booking path, because people in this situation want to talk to someone quickly.
  • Real Google reviews pulled onto the site. Nothing invented, nothing edited.
  • Attorney schema for the firm, a sitemap, and robots rules that allow search engines and AI crawlers.

Monthly plan

What I keep running

A site is never really finished. This is what I look after for Sackrule Law month to month.

  • Hosting and the domain.
  • Content changes when practice areas, counties, or contact details change.
  • Keeping the booking and call paths working.
  • Keeping the underlying software current so the site stays fast and secure.

The best way to judge the work is to open it.

Questions about Sackrule Law

Why rebuild instead of fixing the Squarespace site?

Squarespace is fine for a lot of businesses. In this case the firm wanted a different structure and more control over the content and technical details than the old site gave them, so starting fresh was simpler than working around it.

What makes a law firm site different from other local business sites?

Urgency. Someone looking for a criminal defense attorney usually needs to talk to a person today. So the phone number and booking path are everywhere, and each practice area has its own clearly named page so people can find the one that matches their situation.

Do you work with other law firms?

Yes. If your firm has an outdated site or no site at all, get in touch and tell me what you need. I will tell you honestly whether a facelift or a new build makes more sense.

Want a site built the same way?

Tell me about your business and your current site. I will tell you honestly whether a facelift or a new build makes more sense, and what happens next.
